Meet Our Acupuncturists
Lara Tisseur
Registered Acupuncturist
Lara Tisseur is a licensed Acupuncturist, holding an Acupuncture Diploma from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver. Previously, Lara earned a Bachelor’s degree of Arts with an Environmental Specialty Certificate at Simon Fraser University.

Lara helps patients understand their health and its role in providing a balanced, empowered quality of life. Her passion is focused on reproductive health and fertility: Preconception health care, Pregnancy, Post Partum, PCOS, Endometriosis, Miscarriage, Irregularity in cycles, Unexplained Infertility, Male Factor Infertility, IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization) support and IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) support. She spent years supporting IVF patients with acupuncture by going on site to fertility clinics in Vancouver on their special day of embryo transfer. She also works with pain, mental health, facial rejuvenation, natural anti-aging and preventative care.

Lara’s journey into Chinese Medicine grew out of her own personal experiences years ago, pregnant with a breech baby. TCM helped to turn her breech baby which started a profound interest and journey into health and Chinese Medicine.
Lara balances patients' unique needs using Acupuncture, Cupping, Moxibustion, Electro stimulation acupuncture (EA), Auricular-EAR Acupuncture and Facial Rejuvenation. Lara empowers newcomers by explaining in a language they can understand. A believer in work-life balance, she helps patients achieve their own health goals that will ultimately improve their overall quality of life.

Meet Our Acupuncturists
Nigel Chuah (he/him)
Registered Acupuncturist, Clinic Owner, & Member of ATCMA
A patient-led treatment is the approach I use in my TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) practice. It's your body. It's your health journey. And you know best how your body has responded to all sorts of stimulus throughout your life. Through this lens and through a TCM approach, I have helped patients significantly reduce their musculoskeletal pains, such as pain in the neck, back, shoulder, elbow, and knees; including tendonitis, trigeminal neuralgia, arthritis, and sciatica. I have also helped patients address digestive issues, improved quality of life for cancer survivors, and helped their mental health; including helping with depression, stress, insomnia, and anxiety.

I remember suffering from IBS and stomach pain in my early 20s and muscular shoulder cramps in my 30s. I sought a lot of professional help during these decades. And acupuncture was one of the modalities that significantly healed me. It’s amazing to me that I feel healthier now in my 40s than I did in my younger years. It is why I pursued this career. And I am grateful to be able to share this healing modality now through TCM and acupuncture.

I use techniques to reduce discomfort and pain during your acupuncture treatment. I can also use magnets instead of needles, which is especially helpful for treating older children, teens, or anyone not fond of needles.

In your treatment, I recommend potential diet or lifestyle changes through a TCM lens, to promote healing and maintain health. Again, working with you is the focus. What can we work on that will be sustainable, and within your existing lifestyle and diet?

I have been living in Langley for over 16 years with my partner and son. You may occasionally see me skateboarding in the neighborhood, hiking the Houston Trail, or riding my motorbike in Glen Valley. I also enjoy a good book indoors on a rainy day. And I enjoy a good pun. So if you know one, needles to say, I would love to hear it.
